Rhinoplasty (also known as “nose surgery” and “nose job”) is a surgical operation that improves the appearance, size, and shape of the nose as well as correcting any pre-existing functional flaws associated with a deformed nose. The goal of a Rhinoplasty in certain uncommon situations at Authentic Hair Transplant and Cosmetic Centre, Pune, may be to repair any damage caused to the nose as a result of an accident or injury. Knowing the anatomy of the nose is crucial when we discuss rhinoplasty. The top layer of the nose, which consists of bone, is divided from the lower layer, which is made up of cartilage. In order to achieve good and natural-looking results, rhinoplasty may be performed on all three components: bone, cartilage, and skin.
Open Rhinoplasty: Dr. Hitesh Laad will make an incision in the columella, which connects all relevant parts of your nose. The tip is then folded upwards to open up space for surgery and correct any imperfections within it! This type of procedure makes access easy because it is done directly through one opening at once - no need to go around as other surgeries might require.
Closed Rhinoplasty: Closed rhinoplasty is a much more delicate procedure than an open one. The incisions are made within the nostrils, so there will be no scarring and it’s difficult to see because of restricted tissue dissection.
Septoplasty: A septoplasty procedure aims to correct a deviated nasal passage and improve breathing.
You must fulfill the following criteria if you want a nose operation or type of nose surgery—
Dr. Hitesh Laad will go over all your medical history and explain the surgical procedure in detail during a consultation. The type of rhinoplasty is determined by taking into account the patient’s individual situation.
A physical examination is performed on the patient and his or her medical history, prior operations if any, and expectations for the procedure are noted.
Dr. Hitesh Laad ’s main focus is on patient safety and attaining the patients' goals for the final outcome. Dr. Hitesh places a high value on the consultation, looking at all aspects and concerns in order to provide the finest results possible.
Rhinoplasty is an outpatient surgery which means the patient is usually not hospitalized before or after the surgery. It can take them a few hours to recover from the surgery.
Here are the steps involved in the whole procedure:
The process usually involves administering general or local anesthesia along with intravenous sedatives. The doctor makes the best choice for each patient individually.
In the next step, Dr. Hitesh Laad makes the incisions. During the consultation, the type of surgery (open or closed) is decided. Depending on the type, an incision is made either externally or internally.
After that, Dr. Hitesh Laad reshapes the nose. The process involves one of the following: shortening or lengthening the nose; increasing or decreasing the size of your nose; widening or narrowing down your nose.
If the nose needs implants, Dr. Hitesh Laad will use the material which was decided upon during the consultation (silicone, cartilage or bone).
Widening and narrowing the nostrils is done by adding or removing cartilage or bone within them.
Septal cartilage grafts are the most common method to improve the shape of the nose.
Rib cartilage can also be used. Filler injections and fat grafting may be used to smooth out wrinkles and cover up imperfections. This is done until Dr. Hitesh Laad achieves the desired shape of your nose.
A septoplasty is usually performed to straighten the nose and correct the breathing issues associated with a deviated septal cartilage. After the nose is shaped, the incisions are stitched up.
Rhinoplasty cost or nose job cost may be covered by insurance if rhinoplasty is done for the purpose of reconstruction after an accident or for improving the functionality of the nose (like septoplasty surgery). But if rhinoplasty or nose reshape surgery is done for cosmetic or aesthetic purposes only, then the surgery will not be covered by insurance. The total rhinoplasty cost includes various factors and those are: consultation fees, fees of the team of doctors, cost of medical tests, cost of facility and cost of dressing. However, rhinoplasty cost may vary from place to place and surgeon to surgeon.
When considering a nose job, or rhinoplasty, it is important to understand all the factors that will affect the cost of the procedure. The type of surgery performed, the technique used, and the experience of the surgeon are also important considerations. In addition, the location of the facility and whether it is accredited can also impact the price.
Book AppointmentSome benefits of rhinoplasty surgery are:
After following the procedure, the inside of your nose is filled with gauze wick. A bandage is put on the outside part of the nose.
You may walk by yourself within eight hours and be released the same day or the next morning, depending on Dr. Hitesh Laad ’s assessment of your vitals. You must remain indoors for the first 48 hours after surgery.
At 48 hours after surgery, Dr. Hitesh Laad will change the dressing. Then, the gauze wick is removed. Dissolvable stitches mean there is no need for removal. They dissolve when they’re done healing. After seven days, the dressing is removed. For 10 to 14 days, the plaster must be worn.
The nasal area and surrounding region may initially appear swollen. Some people’s eyes might appear puffy. Dr. Hitesh Laad assures us that this is not a problem because it is a normal response from the body after a medical procedure. The swelling will gradually subside over two weeks.
The swelling’s last stage is at the tip of the nose. After the swelling has subsided, you can see the final appearance of the nose, which might take up to 6 months in some cases.
Pigment buildup under the skin causes darkening of the whites of the eyes (or around the nostrils) in red, purple, and black spots. It will go away on its own after 3 weeks.
Sometimes, Dr. Hitesh Laad may prescribe pain medication. You must follow the doctor’s advice exactly. Dr. Hitesh Laad will also give specific instructions for treating the wound. These include taking a bath rather than a shower, limiting extreme facial expressions for at least a few hours, and avoiding strenuous exercise for at least a few weeks.
At Authentic Hair Transplant and Cosmetic Centre, Pune, routine checkups are necessary to ensure that the healing is being followed and results can be seen.
Here are a few of the infrequent risks that come with rhinoplasty:
Pain and swelling
Numbness in the nose
